Jerry Gonzalez was born on October 30, 1985 in Mayaguez,
Puerto Rico. His accomplishments have given him the
knowledge and experience to make him a professional.
Winner of the Dickie Thon Puerto Rico Championship and
Puerto Rico MVP at the age of 10. Winner of the 2003 Golden
Hawk Award at Armwood High School. Winner of the 2004
USCAA National Championship and 2004 All American
Shortstop at Florida College where he attended for 2 years
on a full scholarship. Jerry was Ranked in the Top 5
shortstops in the NCAA Division II baseball during his
senior year at Saint Leo University. He Led the Team in
Average, Runs, Hits, Doubles, Triples, Stolen Bases and
was second on the team in Home Runs in the lead off spot!
Holds a record at Saint Leo for hitting 2 cycles in 1 season.
Jerry Graduated College with a degree in Business with a
specialization in Health Service Management. In 2007, he
signed a professional Contract with the Los Angeles
Angels of Anaheim where he held a record for longest
hitting streak at 16 games with 9 of those games being
multi-hit games. That record was broken the following
year. As a Minor Leaguer, he was the Winner of the 2007
Pioneer League Championship with the Rookie Affiliate
Orem Owlz of the Los Angeles Angels. Jerry also played in
2010 with the Mayaguez Indios who were the PBL (Puerto
Rico Baseball League) Champions and participants in the
Caribbean World Series. Jerry has great knowledge of
Hitting, FIelding and Baserunning.

Jerry is currently one of the head coaches for the PTI
Rawlings Baseball program and Assistant coach to Eddie
Gonzalez for Plant City High School Raiders baseball
program.
